What does a typical professional headshots session looks like?

Each client is different. Everyone has their best angle. Everyone has their own way of smiling. A certain pose only works for certain people. The posing, styling, background, composition and lighting need to be customized for each person so the final result can truly reflect their professions, positions and personalities. This is why I do not set a time limit. I will help you with your posing and expression to make sure they are genuine and natural. We will try different outfits, backgrounds, posing and lighting. Trust me, your headshots session will be very fun.

Picking the photos

At the end of the headshots session, we’ll sit down together to go through all the images on a computer screen, so you can pick your favourite shots to be professionally edited and retouched. I can give you my suggestions if you need but you are at complete control and which shot and how many shots to choose. You don’t need to pay more than you need.

Photo retouching

Don’t worry about that blemish that popped up the night before your headshots session. That's what retouching for. Wrinkles can be softened, teeth can be whitened, and slight redness in skin can be toned down. Emphasizing best features and minimizing imperfections are what retouching is about. The key to good retouching is for it to remain natural.

Receive your photo

After the retouching is finished. You’ll receive an email from us. There will be download link on the email for you to download the photos. The download link will be up for 2 weeks. As well as the high resolution JPEGs, I'll also make sure you receive the same shots that are custom size and crops for social media platforms. That'll save you the trouble of re-sizing and cropping the shots after you receive them.

What will happen to my photos after the photoshoot?

We’ll keep the photos for 1 weeks in case you need to pick more. After that the photos will be deleted.
